Forest Projects Plan - Phase 1
UMRWA and the USDA Forest Service (Eldorado National Forest and the Stanislaus National Forest) with support from the Amador Calaveras Consensus Group (ACCG) have developed a Forest Projects Plan (FPP) aimed at improving forest health for a large area of the National Forest (NF) located in the upper Mokelumne River Watershed and adjacent areas. This major initiative is being conducted in two phases. Phase 1, which is currently being implemented, is focused on broadly supported ladder fuels treatments and forest management actions on approximately 26,000 acres of the Eldorado NF.
Below are maps showing both the underway and pending projects and a link to the Implementation Work Plan document highlighting key elements of the program.
